A change to a job, the work environment, educational settings, or the way things are usually done that allows an individual with a disability to apply for a job, perform job functions, or receive equal access to education or other benefits already available to other individuals in that setting.
An instructional course designed to teach basic competencies, such as reading, writing, oral communication, and mathematics, in preparation for a regular postsecondary curriculum and educational setting. (See also Developmental Education and Adult Basic Education.)
